In order to help serve you better, we have some simple ideas to help you figure up just how much material you need and at what price. First, lets go over measuring a room:
- Grab a sheet of paper, a pencil, and a tape measure.
- Start by drawing a rough diagram of your room, taking care to sketch
any closets, any walls that may protrude out, steps, etc.
- Grab your tape measure and measure each of the areas you want
floored, making sure to round up to the nearest inch. As you are getting
the sizes, write them on the diagram as you go. Make sure to measure
your steps rise and run as well as count the number of steps.
- Lastly, come to Carpets To Go and we'll figure up what you need as you
browse our large selection of flooring.
If you'd like a rough idea of how much material you will need per room and/or at what cost, you can use the simple estimators below. Here you will need the sizes that you have figured out per room, and the cost per ft of materials that you are looking at.
Furthermore, you can input the amount of materials you need and what your projected budget is to get a per sf price. This will be helpful to you if you have a set budget in mind when you come pick out flooring at Carpets To Go.
Note that the number you come up with for total yards or feet may not be the actual amount you need, seeing as how we may need to figure a little extra for pattern matching or seams. This will simply help you get a rough idea of how much materials at what cost you may need for your project. Additionally, either the installer or your Carpets To Go salesperson will confirm labor prices for you.
